Motorola Edge 30

Motorola Edge 30. Best phone under Rs. 30,000

  • The Motorola Edge 30 is priced at β‚Ή27,999.
  • The Motorola Edge was the only phone with a clean Android UI that looked similar to the Pixel.
  • Motorola Edge has a pOLED display and a Snapdragon 778G+ processor.

After a month of speculation, Motorola Edge 30 was finally released. But the wait was well worth it. Motorola disrupted the market with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, which features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Motorola is now focusing on a new price market. Motorola, I believe, was finally listening to their customers and producing the best phone.

When it comes to the phone’s overall rating, I believe I can give it a 4.7 out of 5 rating. For this price, it was the best daily driver with great processor, android experience.⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟(4.7)

  • 6.55-inch pOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate
  • 50MP + 50MP Ultra-Wide + Macro lens + 2MP depth camera
  • 32MP selfie camera
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+
  • β€œ13” 5G bands
  • 4,020mAh battery + 33W fast charger
  • Android 13, 14 updates

In terms of design, the Motorola Edge 30 outperformed its predecessor, the Edge 20. This phone has a matte finish on the back and Gorilla Glass 3. This was a PMMA glass, which was a combination of glass and plastic but felt almost like a glass. Also, the Motorola Edge 30 was the thinnest 5G phone, measuring just 6.8MM thick and weighing only 155g.

This phone lacks a headphone jack, which I believe is done to reduce thickness. This was the first Motorola budget phone to include an in-display fingerprint scanner.

I understand that you may be wondering what a pOLED display is. pOLED displays are similar to AMOLED displays, but they have plastic bezels to help slim down the phone. However, there may be no changes in real-time usage. In fact, the viewing angles were superior to those of some AMOLED displays. Motorola Edge 30 has a 6.55-inch display with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

When it comes to multimedia, it has dual speakers for better sound and Wide 1 L1 support so you can watch Prime and Hotstar in HD. This phone also supports Dolby Atoms.

When coming to cameras Motorola Edge 30 comes with three cameras at the back

  • 50MP OIS main camera
  • 50MP Ultra-Wide + Macro lens
  • 2MP depth

For the price, the camera update was excellent. The main camera has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), which aids in video capture. Both 50MP cameras have excellent colour punch and work well both day and night. The secondary 50MP Ultra-Wide camera can also function as a Macro camera. You can take stunning 50MP macro shots.

What about you? I prefer Ultra-Wide over Telephoto cameras.

  • 32MP selfie camera

The selfie camera was also excellent, producing color-accurate images.

Both 50MP cameras can record at 4K@30fps.

Processor and gaming

I believe the Motorola Edge 30 was the first phone to feature a Snapdragon 778G + processor. This was the replacement for 778G. We can see a comparison of 778G and 778G+ scores. There were a few changes.

Nothing Phone 1 may use the same processor.

In terms of performance, this was the best phone on the market. There are phones with 778G, such as the iQOO Z6 Pro, and phones with Dimensity 900, such as the Nord CE2.

The Motorola Edge 30 also has 15 5G bands, compared to 10-5 in competitors.

The Motorola Edge 30 can easily handle games such as BGMI, COD mobile, and other demanding games. Because this phone runs at 144Hz, the latency in gaming was also reduced.

However, this phone lacks gaming features such as 4D vibration and a Vapour cooling system.

UI and software experience

I always say that if you want to experience true Android, you should use Pixel phones, but we don’t see Pixel phones in India (May be Pixel 6A). All of the remaining user interfaces, from Samsung One UI to Oxygen OS, are subpar.

BUT, the Motorola Edge 30 comes with a fresh version of Android 12 that resembles the Pixel OS. I was in LOVE with that UI. You can have a fantastic android experience. The UI is identical to that of Pixel phones, and it includes a clean Android 12 with a colour palette, widgets, a lock screen, and much more.

The Motorola Edge 30 has a feature that allows it to connect to a Windows PC. You can screen mirror the phone to the PC and share files from the phone to the PC without any problems.

The Motorola Edge 30 also promised two Android updates, Android 13 and 14, as well as three years of security updates.

If you want a better phone experience, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOTOROLA phones.

The Motorola Edge 30 is powered by a 4,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The battery backup will be good due to software optimization and adaptive refresh rate, and you can easily get a day with normal usage.

There is no suspense as I already mentioned in the highlights.

Motorola Edge 30 comes with two variants.

6GB RAM + 128GB Storage = β‚Ή27,999

8GB RAM + 128GB Storage = β‚Ή29,999
