What Elon Musk do with Twitter

A tech billionaire Elon Musk has finally bought Twitter for $44 billion. After the two weeks of bid, the Twitter team had accepted the offer to sell the company to Mr. Musk.

During the last two weeks, Elon Musk has expressed his thoughts on the company and what he would do if he were to successfully acquire the social-media site used by more than 200 million people around the world through regulatory filings, tweets, and a recent interview at a TED conference.

What do you think Should Elon Musk want to acquire Twitter or Not? If Yes!! What feature you need?

Free of Speech

“Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to follow free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy,” Mr. Musk says.
Mr. Musk also stated that the platform should abide by the laws of the countries in which it provides services. And, he added, that when Twitter makes changes to amplify or reduce the reach of a tweet, it should inform users about the changes.

Will Trump get back to Twitter?

Edit feature

We recently discussed the Twitter edit button and how it will function. For more information, see this post.
Musk recently asked whether you would like an edit button on Twitter in a tweet. Yes, votes totaled more than 70% in the poll.
We’re working on an edit button, he says. Do you want to learn more about Twitter’s edit feature and how it works?

Twitter Blue authentication checkmark

According to Musk, Twitter gives users who pay for Twitter Blue—a subscription service that adds extra features to users’ accounts—a checkmark to show their account has been “authenticated” in recent tweets.

Make Twitter algorithm open source

Mr. Musk suggested making Twitter’s algorithm open source in his TED talk, which would allow others outside the company to look at it and suggest fixes and changes. Putting the code on GitHub, a site for storing software projects, is one way to do so, he said.

Take the public company to private

Musk goes on to say He stated, “Twitter needs to be transformed into a private company.” “Twitter has a lot of potentials. “I’ll get it unlocked.”
Taking Twitter off the stock exchange would likely make it easier for Mr. Musk to make the changes he wants, as much of the pressure from shareholders would be relieved. However, Mr. Musk stated in the TED interview that if he is successful in taking the company private, he would like to keep as many shareholders as possible.

Longer Tweets

Musk responded to a thread started by Yishan Wong, the former CEO of social media company Reddit Inc., who had given Musk his Twitter share.
Musk also says that tweets can now be up to 280 characters long, up from the previous limit of 140.

Do you guys use threads? Or you love to have longer character capacity?

Rely less on Ads

We can see even now WhatsApp is trying to bring a subscription model for business.

Currently, the majority of revenue comes from advertisements, with blue subscription revenue being limited.
According to Musk, Twitter should shift its business model to one that is more reliant on subscriptions. For a monthly fee of $2.99, Twitter Blue adds premium features like “undo tweet.”
He also suggests laying off employees and closing the company’s headquarters in San Francisco.
